Not everything marketed is technically FDA approved. This is why you see many say the “ingredients” are FDA approved, but not the proprietary blend, nor the actual product itself. This holds true for Plexus as well.

To be approved by the FDA (Federal and Drug Administration), the FDA site is clear on the responsibility of the FDA.

FDA is responsible for protecting the public health by regulating human and animal drugs, biologics (e.g. vaccines and cellular and gene therapies), medical devices, food and animal feed, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation.

Plexus is not being used as a drug for treatment. It is true, the company originally created the product for diabetics. However, during trial studies it was found those taking Plexus Slim lost weight and had a reduction in inches. The company chose to market the product on these findings.

A company cannot say it is FDA approved. It must submit any claims to the department.

This notification must be submitted no later than 30 days after marketing the dietary supplement with the structure/function claim. Additionally, the notification must include the text of the claim, as well as other information, such as the name and address of the notifier.”

So what is in the Plexus Slim?

Plexus Slim contains in its proprietary blend the following main ingredients.

• Polydextrose
• Citric Acid
• Beet Root

There was an interesting small study done on the effects of cholorogenic acid and it was found to be potent for body weight reduction and regulation of lipid metabolism.

• Chromium

Of all the ingredients listed, Alpha lipoic acid and Garcinia cambogia is known to help lose weight.

Summary:

While the company producing Plexus cannot say the proprietary product is FDA approved, due to it not being a drug, the ingredients are approved.

Some of those ingredients have been found to reduce the weight, and on personal testimony this product appears to be working for many people.

I have done many multi-level marketing in the past, while I was young. In the past, I have tried a phone MLM, which the company ended up selling, while the ambassadors lost. My wife started her Plexus journey, in order to show results, and provide feedback on the product. To date, I know she has already lost 4 lbs, with only one week into drinking the Plexus Slim.

Plexus is a muli-level marketing company providing their pink product to those wishing to lose weight and inches. However, what is the history of this product, and why am I even talking about it?

 The obvious answer would be, I am selling it. Yes. However, I am also going to be exploring this, and providing research and see if this is going to be a sucesfull experiment.


The history of Plexus was originally formulated to help people with Type II diabetes. This was done to lessen their insulin dependency and for maintaining proper blood sugar levels. During a study in a diabetic clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah, over half the subjects blood sugar levels were lowered, and after the second week of taking Plexus nearly all subjects’ blood sugar levels were lowered.
The bigger surprise was the subjects finding weight loss, while taking the Plexus. After 3-4 weeks all subjects loss pounds and inches. Think about that.
The developers of the product new they had an effect formula and product. While they attempted to get FDA approval, the Federal Drug Administration only approves “prescription drugs”. While the Plexus provided great results, it still fell under a dietary supplement, not a prescription drug.
With positive results, the developers marketed their product. The FDA did review the developers product’s ingredients, and found all the ingredients safe, with no problems in its use.

Atheism has now officially gone online with its own television channel. A New Jersey-based atheist group started the first ever on-demand TV channel dedicated to godlessness, according to Daily News. We have heard of patients requiring specific blood types, or donors requiring similar organs, due to the issue of compatibility. The Oklahoma legislature has created another common sense bill about zero tolerance. The bill titled, “Common Sense Zero-Tolerance Act,” eases school rules when it comes to fake weapons. House Bill 2351 (HB2351) was first read February 3, 2014.

“No school district, school administrator, teacher or other school employee shall punish, humiliate, intimidate, be condescending to, or bully a student, including suspension of the student…”
